I'm Back with the Jump Off
Glamour Wayne's Birthday Bash @ The Settings
3/15/03

Kimmy - HYM

Man, this was a nice dance! I met up with Ms. Mocha at Settings around 1:30am, which is rather early for us bashment folks! When we arrived the venue was not full and people were kinda milling around searching for a good vibe and a good spot. The place was decorated very nicely with balloon arches and all! Diver D was playing with the help of DJ Prince and all was well. It was so nice to see Diver behind a turn table again! I mean this actually brought back memories for me.

In two winks of an eye, the place started to fill up and I started running around and taking pictures. It was a star studded night of bashment and people ended up coming out from far and wide to help Glamour Wayne celebrate his birth strong! Everyone looked really nice and the vibe was very carefree and positive. I'm really pleased that the last set of dances that I've gone to have been nothing but niceness! Everyone came together in unity and enjoyed the vibe, music and company. We hit up the bar and settled into a nice spot as Vicious of Zone One continued the earlies w/DJ Prince. They played a lot of old hits that I haven't heard in a long while. Old Soul hits, you know - Big People Tings! I always enjoy that portion of the dance. They went way back and brought us 'up to the time' with some Ghost tunes and then it was time for RawBorn for Emperor Sound.

The Emperor Family represented on Saturday night and it was really nice to see some of my old friends in the place doing their thing! Emperor is definitely foundation for D.C. and Rawborn is a veteran to Emperor sound! He kept up a nice vibe and moved us up further in to the present with some conscious tunes. Nuff Capleton and Bushman and Warrior King. The Warrior King tune got a nice forward.

Next Up was Kings Sound. King and Dukes are no strangers to the world of bashment, and the ladies were getting ready for the video light as these two continued to build and manipulate the tunes and get the party hot! Kings Sound is able to blend music well and pick up the mood of the crowd, this is a must, so I was very pleased with the job that they did..!

The video light turn on and all hell broke loose. The ladies, myself included were more that ready to bruk out after all of the big people tunes and conscious lyrics. It was time to start the mixup and generally gwan bad, bad, bad! I started to really get loose, I mean; there was action every damn where. Moet was flowing, ladies (and gents) were dancing. The Pon di River dance really ah dunn di place right ya now. So you know when the intro came on, the place mash up! I'm really glad I came out - truss me. I also got to meet a lot of people that log on to the site and that is always a pleasure for me when you guys come and introduce yourselves!! The ladies, one and all had fun, no negative vibes, just a great time cool runnins!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GLAMOUR WAYNE! I really enjoyed myself, and thanks for everything! Big Ups to the "Y" Crew, The Destiny Ladies, The Bashment Ladies, Platinum Promotions the Platinum Ladies, Snatch Gal Crew, Desi, Buffy and the Presidential Click, Bigga, Uncle Dean, Japanese and the entire Emperor Fam (look out for Dante on Mar. 22 @ Hollywood), Mosity and the Hype Family (look out for Mosity Mar.22 @ Settings) Ms. Francis, Wanga and the Fluffness Crew, Maximillion, Leisa, Tash, Terry, Gina, Tisha, B and all who nuh mention!
