HYM|G-Baby aka Candy Bashment

Kimmy, Leisa & I hit the road this Saturday to support Long Dong on his event. We entered the venue at about 1:40 am and to our surprise the sound was in the middle of the floor with the picture man to the left side and the bar to the right. The venue had a much cozier appearance thus setting the vibe for the night. *insert thumbs up icon*

Stoka from Upsetta International roped in the crowd with his superb style of juggling. Bredda, Bredda yuh caan play. Check Upsetta's lastest CD on the road right now. Love it! He walked all the patrons right down memory lane and got us ready for the nights festivities. We were amped, anything ah anything. *suck teet* Or so we thought...

Next up was Pieces or Pure Playazz, either way I wasn't impressed by either one of these sounds that night. Str8, no bend. I've heard Pieces many times and was expecting their "performance" to be at the same level. My vibes broke from this moment until Raw Deal.

Raw Deal was 3rd in the chain and came in with a young lady whose voice was so big, it filled up and bust out of Langley Park Boys & Girls Club. My girl your voice is beautiful....just memba Bashment Link-Up when you receive your 1st set of millions from your recording contracts. Nuh seh nutt'en! Banton & Dr. Dre then took it over and receive pere forward for the duration of their segment.

After Raw Deal, Pieces (I think) came up to play and they were able to hold a 1 or 2 fawud, but their playing was not consistent. By the time we ketch a vibes, selecta change up again. With that being said, I would like to see them again. Every sound is entitled to one bad night in the murder capital.

The Link-Up was a success and the overall vibe was decent. Can't wait for the 2nd annual. Bless Up.
